Vampire hot chocolate

Ingredients for hot chocolate:
- 3 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- Red food coloring
Ingredients for whipped cream:
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Preparation:
In the bowl of a mixer, add 1 cup of heavy cream, vanilla, and powdered sugar. Whip on medium until stiff peaks form. In a medium saucepan, add the whole milk, heavy cream, vanilla, white chocolate chips, and mini chocolate chips. Heat over medium low, stirring occasionally, until the chocolate is melted and begins to simmer but don’t let it boil. Stir in a couple drops of red food coloring. Pour the hot chocolate into a 4 mugs and top with whipped cream.
