Preheat the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a ten inch fluted cake pan or a quiche pan by spraying it with nonstick cooking spray. Scatter almonds on the bottom of the pan, set aside. Beat on medium speed in a bowl of mixer the egg, granulated sugar, almond extract and milk, until. Scrape down with a rubber spatula, while beating. Add in flour, melted butter, baking powder, and salt, and beat until fully blended. Fill the pan whit the batter. Bake cake for forty to fifty minutes until the center is well done and the edges turn golden brown. Let cook in pan of your over rack.
Note:
This cake can be kept refrigerated until three days. When serving, place the cake on a plate on top with almond facing side up. You can serve the cake with the fruit of your choice and whipped cream.
