Prick the each sausage with a fork several times. Add to of boiling water. When the sausages is an even light brown, turn off the heat and remove to a greased baking pan and set it aside (ad an alternative you can slice the sausage links). Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Add the peppers, garlic, onions, and mushrooms to the pan. Season with the salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and the toss them gently until fully cooked through, about 30 minutes (You can remove the foil for the last 5 minutes to brown further if desired). Remove and serve. Serving Suggestion: This also great as a sandwich. Line a long roll with thinly sliced provolone cheese, add sausage and top with the peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
