Pizzelles

Enjoy the traditional flavor of Italian cookies with the help of this unique and easy recipe.

Total time: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Eggs: 6
  • Anise extract: 2 tablespoons
  • All purpose flour: 3 1/2 cups
  • White sugar: 1 1/2 cups
  • Baking powder: 4 teaspoons
  • Melted margarine: 1 cup

Preparation:

Whisk sugar and eggs with your electric. Mixture to make a fluffy blend. Mix in anise extract and melted margarine. Combine baking powder and flour, mix in slowly to make a sticky dough. Preheat your pizzelle iron as per the instruction of manufacturer and drop some batter by rounded spoonfuls on the pizzelle iron. Close the iron and cook for 90 seconds. Once the steam stops, carefully open iron and remove pizzelle. Store in one airtight tin and put at room temperature.
